Anti-Syphon Valves

An anti-syphon valve can be attached to the outlet of an above-ground storage tank. The valve shuts off flow to prevent fuel from flowing if there is no positive vacuum pulling fuel from the downstream side. This avoids theft of fuel by syphoning and also prevents uncontrolled flow of fuel out of the tank in the event of a pipe rupturing. This therefore both reduces costs from loss of fuel or spill, reduces the fire hazard associated with spilled fuel, and prevents pollution and the resulting environmental damage and possible financial penalties.

Hytek provides anti-syphon valves for diesel or biodiesel. Both have an inlet strainer mesh and adjustable mechanisms to allow for various liquid head pressure settings, with the ability to lock the mechanism once it is correctly set. They are suitable for mounting up to 7.5m from ground level
